Background

Mandar Dongare has spent two decades designing and delivering enterprise data platforms for some of the world's most complex financial institutions. His professional journey spans the full arc of banking data infrastructure, from database engineering and regulatory data marts through large-scale data warehouse programmes to modern data lakes, cloud-native integration, and AI governance.

Before co-founding Corvair, Dongare spent over six years at Teradata as Senior Manager for Banking and Financial Services across Singapore and India, leading end-to-end delivery of enterprise data platforms for global banking clients. He led teams of 70+ across data engineering, architecture, AI/ML, and business intelligence, with product area ownership across multiple delivery squads serving Private Banking, Retail Banking, Risk, Finance, and Treasury domains. He managed multi-stream delivery programmes aligned with BCBS 239, GDPR, and regional data privacy regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

At Teradata he was named Asia-Pacific Customer Success Manager of the Year (2023) and recognised as a Winner's Circle Top 50 global performer (2024).

Prior Experience

Prior to Teradata, Dongare served as Vice President at BNY Mellon (2013-2018), where he led data and analytics platform delivery across Asset Services, Asset Management, Corporate Trust, and Treasury. He established Agile operating models and data governance frameworks that improved delivery predictability and regulatory compliance. He won the BNY Mellon Global Innovation Challenge (2017) for an analytics product delivering actionable revenue insights.

His earlier career includes Senior Business Analyst roles at Credit Suisse in Singapore, where he led APAC Private Banking regulatory data mart initiatives, and systems and database engineering positions at Barclays Capital, J.P. Morgan, and i-flex Solutions (Oracle Financial Services).

Domain Expertise

Dongare's experience is anchored in the regulated data delivery challenges that Corvair's platform addresses: enterprise data governance, data quality and lineage, regulatory compliance (BCBS 239, GDPR, PDPA), and the delivery of trusted, auditable data products to Risk, Finance, Treasury, and Compliance consumers. He has partnered directly with CIO, CDO, CFO, and CRO stakeholders to translate complex regulatory and business requirements into scalable, governed data solutions.

Role at Corvair

At Corvair, Dongare leads the development of the governance platform MVP, designing the data architecture, integration layers, and AI governance foundations that underpin Corvair's approach to autonomous agent oversight. His work bridges enterprise data delivery discipline with emerging AI governance requirements, ensuring that Corvair's platform is built on the same rigour and auditability standards demanded by the banking institutions it serves.

Philosophy
