1. Introduction

Corvair.ai ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you visit our website (corvair.ai), use the Corvair Research Platform (research.corvair.ai), or interact with us. Our practices are guided by the core principles of reputable data protection frameworks such as the NIST Privacy Framework.

2. Information We Collect

2a. Website Forms

We collect information you voluntarily provide when you fill out a form on our website, such as our "Schedule a Briefing" or "Contact Us" forms. This may include:

  • Contact Information: Your first and last name, email address, and phone number.
  • Professional Information: Your company name and job title/role.
  • Inquiry Information: Any information you choose to provide in the message or comments section of a form.
2b. Research Platform Participation

When you participate in our research assessments at research.corvair.ai, we collect:

  • Assessment Responses: Your answers to assessment questions. These are self-reported opinions and preferences about your work, not personally identifiable data.
  • Demographic Information: Voluntary demographic data you provide (such as industry, role level, organization size, and location) to enable peer benchmarking and segmented research findings.
  • Account Information: If you choose to create an account (optional), your email address and display name for result persistence and team features.

Research participation is entirely voluntary. You may take assessments without creating an account. Anonymous participants receive the same instant results as identified participants. You choose whether to contribute your anonymized responses to the research dataset or use the assessment for personal use only.

For details on our research methodology, see our Research Methodology page.

2c. Automatically Collected Information

We use essential cookies, local storage, and service workers to improve your website and application experience. See our "Cookies and Tracking" section below for details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries, schedule briefings, and provide information about our services.
  • To generate your personalized assessment results, archetype profiles, and peer benchmarks.
  • To produce aggregate, anonymized research findings. Individual responses are never shared or identifiable in published findings.
  • To enable team comparison features when you voluntarily opt in to share your results with team members.
  • To send email communications you have explicitly opted into, such as research updates and assessment result notifications.
  • For internal business purposes, such as improving our assessments, website, and research quality.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with any third parties for their marketing purposes.

Research Data: Aggregate, anonymized research findings may be published on our website, in reports, and in our companion book. Individual responses are never identifiable in published data. We report distributions, averages, and patterns, not individual records.

Team Features: If you join a team and opt in to visibility, your archetype name and selected scores may be visible to other team members. You control which studies are shared via per-study visibility toggles. No data is shared without your explicit opt-in.

We may share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as our email provider (Mailgun), authentication provider (Firebase/Google), and cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud). These service providers are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.

5. Your Data Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Ask us to correct or update any inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information. In the research app, you can delete your data directly from your profile settings.
  • Research Opt-Out: Toggle your research participation on or off at any time from your profile. When opted out, your responses are used only for your personal results and not included in the research dataset.
  • Anonymity: You may use the research platform without creating an account. Anonymous sessions are not linked to any personally identifiable information.

To exercise these rights, use the in-app controls or contact us at privacy@corvair.ai.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Assessment data is stored in encrypted databases on Google Cloud Platform. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication with industry-standard security practices. However, no internet transmission is ever fully secure, so you should take care in deciding what information you provide.

7. Data Retention

Assessment responses and results are retained for as long as your account exists or until you request deletion. Anonymous session data may be retained in aggregate form for research purposes even after the session expires. You can delete your individual data at any time through the research app's profile settings.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to, and maintained on, servers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ. Our infrastructure is hosted on Google Cloud Platform with servers primarily in the United States. By using our services, you consent to this transfer.

9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience:

  • Essential Cookies and Local Storage: Used for authentication state, session management, cookie consent preferences, and application functionality. These cannot be disabled.
  • Service Workers: The research app uses service workers for offline caching and performance. These do not transmit personal data.
  • Optional Analytics: With your consent, we may use analytics to understand how our website and assessments are used, helping us improve the experience.

Your Cookie Choices:

  • You can accept or decline optional cookies via our cookie consent banner on the corporate website.
  • Essential cookies and local storage cannot be disabled as they are necessary for functionality.
  • You can clear your browser's local storage and cookies at any time to reset preferences.

10. AI-Generated Content

Certain features of the research platform use generative AI (Google Gemini) to produce personalized interpretations and action recommendations based on your assessment results. AI-generated content is clearly labeled. Your assessment responses may be sent to the AI service for processing but are not stored by the AI provider or used to train AI models. The AI processes your data only to generate your personalized results.

11. Children's Privacy

Our services are designed for knowledge workers and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
