AI Vulnerability Study
Find out exactly where your role sits on the AI exposure spectrum, and what to do about it.
6 minutes Take the AssessmentFour outputs from one 6-minute assessment.
One of 18 distinct profiles that reveal how your specific role intersects with AI capabilities.
Your role's exposure scored from 0 to 100, with clear zones: Durable, Transitioning, or Exposed.
Where your confidence about AI's impact does not match your actual exposure.
The adjacent pattern you could shift toward, showing the path of least resistance to a more durable position.
The study takes approximately 6 minutes and uses four question types: 12 tradeoff pairs where two statements about your work are presented and you pick which better describes your experience; 2 scenario vignettes with 3 questions each about realistic work situations; 1 best-worst scaling block where you identify which of four statements is most and least like your experience; and 5 rapid rating items for quick agree/disagree on specific aspects of your work.
A confidence check follows each scenario question to measure how personally relevant the situation feels to you. No sign-up required. Results are instant.
The conversation about AI and jobs is stuck between two extremes. One side says AI will replace most knowledge workers. The other side says AI is just a tool and nothing fundamental will change. Both are wrong because both treat "knowledge work" as a single thing.
Knowledge work is not a single thing. A financial analyst building models, a product manager aligning stakeholders, a compliance officer interpreting regulations, and a designer iterating on user interfaces are all "knowledge workers," but AI reshapes each of these roles in fundamentally different ways. The analyst's work has a large automatable surface area. The product manager's work is mostly coordination that AI cannot yet address. The compliance officer depends on judgment that resists codification. The designer's value is shifting from execution to curation.
This study measures where your specific work falls across these dimensions and what that means for your future.
This study is grounded in the framework developed in Chapters 1 through 5 of Proxy.Me: Agentic AI Digital Apprentices. The four measurement dimensions correspond to four structural characteristics of knowledge work that determine how AI will interact with a given role:
Creation vs. Curation derives from Chapter 4's analysis of the AI Productivity Trap, which shows that AI reduces the cost of creation while increasing the cost of coherence.
Routine vs. Novel derives from Chapter 1's concept of structural inertia and the activation energy required to initiate unfamiliar work.
Individual vs. Coordination derives from Chapters 1 and 3's analysis of the coordination tax and decision opacity.
Explicit vs. Tacit derives from Chapter 2's concept of knowledge at rest and the challenge of codifying experience-based judgment.
You will receive one of 18 profiles such as The Accelerated Producer, Knowledge Translator, Institutional Memory, The Pattern Breaker, or The Structural Architect. Each profile maps your position across four dimensions: Creation vs. Curation, Routine vs. Novel, Individual vs. Coordination, and Explicit vs. Tacit knowledge.
The Exposed profiles (such as The Accelerated Producer and The Template Specialist) identify roles facing the most imminent change. The Transitioning profiles (such as The Judgment Concentrator and The Knowledge Translator) capture roles in active evolution. The Durable profiles (such as The Context Bridge and The Orchestrator) reveal roles that gain value as AI spreads. And The Paradoxes (such as The Confident Explorer) identify contradictory patterns that deserve special attention. Each profile comes with a specific interpretation and actionable guidance.
